Lur and Luristan Luristan is a state in Iran. this land belongs to a nation named Lur. you may know Luristan for its bronze. Luristan has an illustrious history and eastern culture with friendly people. in this text I just introduce the land, religion and other points about Lurs... Lurs are Shia Muslims. but, in fact, they are secular. I will explain it in next texts. their culture is named  Luriati Lur population is about 12 Million ( 12,000,000) Luristan is expanded in many provinces: Lorestan Charmahal and Bakhtiari Kohgiloyeh and Boyerahmad Kermanshah South of Ilam includes Abdanan, Dehloran, Dareshahr, and Shirvan. A large part of Khuzestan includes: Shush, Shushtar, Bawi, Haftkel, Ramhormoz, Omidie, Behbahan, Hendijan, Ramshir, Mahshahr, Gotevand, Masjed-i-Soleyman, Dezful, Lali, Izeh, Baghmalek, Andeka and Andimeshk.
